ELDER CARE PLANNING

Whether to sell the family home, or keep it and maintain it through the generations, is not an easy decision to make. The cost of upkeep, taxes, insurance and the HOA/Condo fees all add up pretty quickly. When Mom or Dad gets sick, decisions have to be made on where is the best place for their care. Every family wants to keep their loved ones at home, but is that the best decision? Home care by the hour is not outrageous, but once you get into 24/7 care, that's when you see the assets start to get drained. Assisted living communities with everything included can be the best place, but it can be costly there too. And a nursing home can run $8000 to $12,000 a month. 

The Real Estate can be the family's biggest asset and plays a big part in the decision making of the family on how to pay for Senior care. 

With my experience I can guide the family so that they see and understand all their options before they put the house up for sale or they decide to keep it, and figure out how to pay for long-term care.

Personally, I have been involved in Real Estate since i was 21 years old minoring in Real Estate at the University of Miami. I received my Real Estate Salesman's license in 1988 and my Brokers license in 2002. Through the years I have been involved in residential, commercial, leasing and development of real estate in Florida, New York and North Carolina.

I have the designation of GRI. The Graduate, REALTOR Institute is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational background. With this designation i have the in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards and sales process.

I also have the designation of SRES, which stands for SENIORS Real Estate Specialist. I have demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.
